Nils Bucknell is LiA's Lead Learning Designer & Social Innovator, bringing 2.5 years of dedicated service to the organisation. With a strong background in learning design, entrepreneurship education, and a unique perspective as a Kaos Pilots Master Archer, Nils crafts engaging and impactful learning journeys that foster awareness and innovation. He has supported hundreds of social entrepreneurs in starting and scaling their ventures, helping them develop entrepreneurial mindsets and reach their full potential.

Merlene Carrington

Leadership Development Specialist

Merlene Carrington empowers individuals from under-represented communities to achieve leadership success. With over 20 years of experience, she delivers impactful coaching and programs that foster career growth and civic engagement.

Merlene has supported individuals across diverse sectors, including government agencies and the private sector. She specializes in civic leadership and social entrepreneurship, with expertise in Action Learning Sets. As a trained Mediator and Mental Health First Aider, she offers a holistic approach to leadership development.

Sarah Bristol- Abbott

Research and Evaluation Consultant

Sarah Bristol-Abbott is a research and evaluation consultant specialising in education, health, and social care. Holding a Master's degree in Black Studies and Sociology, she is pursuing a Doctorate in Education.

Sarah possesses strong analytical skills, managing projects involving large datasets and developing robust evaluation frameworks. Her experience includes evaluating the Northern England Fostering Hub and researching the experiences of young people in care.

Jeri Houston

Jeri Houston manages day-to-day operations at LiA, ensuring smooth project execution. With over 10 years of experience supporting businesses across diverse sectors (oil, jewellery, social impact), she excels in streamlining processes, coordinating marketing efforts, and managing events. Jeri proactively anticipates needs and addresses potential roadblocks, ensuring projects stay on track and deliver successful outcomes.
